A Diet that works Hand in Hand with your Genes?

Scientists have developed a DNA test which provides an entirely new approach to dieting - the DNA test they developed, which works hand in hand with your genetic makeup, will greatly increase your chance of shedding the pounds.

We have probably all been on some kind of diet and we all know how hard and challenging it can be. We also probably all sensed the tiring frustration of not managing to lose the weight as we wished or as quickly as we thought we would. Despite careful calorie counting and an active lifestyle, you still might be doing something wrong, something which has stalled you from losing weight.

Have you followed a diet with another family member or friend? Did you notice any difference in the amount of weight you and the other person lost and the period of time it took to lose that weight? Where there difference? Often people do notice that somebody of their same age, following the same diet as religiously, will lose weight at a different rate. This is partly because of their genetic makeup. Whilst you might have been eating the same foods, what you did not realize is that “healthy foods” are not the same for everyone.

A DNA test for your diet?

A DNA test is probably what you need to increase your chances of successful dieting. Low carb diets, diets high in unsaturated fats, and a multitude of other diets known will work best for you only if they actually compliment your genes.

To be able to find out whether you are eating right for your genes, a diet genetic test is what you need. Some foods you are eating might be incompatible with you. They may be making your metabolism sluggish, causing fatigue and increasing the pounds rather than helping you lose them.

There are multiple issues and conditions which you may not be aware of because they are tucked away in the wealth of information about yourself you cannot have access to: you might be gluten intolerant or even celiac and not know it. If your diet includes carbohydrates, which any healthy and balanced diet should, you could be ironically hampering your weight loss program.

Countless people are gluten intolerant without even knowing they are; they remain totally unaware of the condition and oblivious to how this may be negatively affecting their bodies, metabolism and overall health. So if a diet DNA test shows you should limit or avoid wheat products, then this might be one of the many foods you have been eating (perhaps very moderately too) which you should have been avoiding. Besides assessing the effects on your body of a myriad of foods, a Diet DNA test can also help assess just how fast or slow your metabolism works and thus, how much energy you should consuming.
